Gorgeous mare with serious potential for showing or eventing This mare can be seen competing in the RDS horse show in the riding horse class (class 26) on the 14th of August. Friarsquarter Emir is a lovely mare 4-year-old traditionally Irish-bred mare with heaps of potential. She's Irish draught x thoroughbred with the tih stamp so eligible for traditional Irish horse classes. Her sire is the infamous Elusive emir who needs no introduction with most of his progeny going on to win some of the biggest showing events. Elusive Emir is a former winner of the Croker Cup in the RDS horse show and his progeny have gone on to have multiple placings in Dublin every year! Her dam is Ballynakilly Holly Dawn by Windgap Blue is producing great horses that are going on to excel in showing. At the beginning of the year, she competed in the Eventing Ireland - Western Region Starter Series in the 4-year-old section and excelled by qualifying and competing in the final. Ember has also competed in several showing competitions, mainly in lightweight hunter, riding horse, and working hunter classes up to 1 meter. In May, she competed in the qualifier for the Isa Ridden Hunter All Ireland in Athenry show and came 2nd, qualifying for the final, where she performed well. She has also competed in registered showjumping up to 90cm. She's brave in the ring and handles fillers well. Ember is great to ride, always eager to please, and responsive.
