This gorgeous boy does it all and looks good doing it! Dutton is a beautiful blue roan with a silver mane and tail. He stands a tic over 14.3 hands, with great bone and a size 3 foot! He is a stocky, well put-together boy with personality plus. He loves people as much as he loves having a job! Dutton will stand quietly for grooming, clipping, farrier and vet. He is respectful on the ground and loads in the trailer with ease.
Dutton has tons of trail riding experience, and he really loves it. Trekking down a wooded trail, galloping in an open field, crossing streams, climbing hills, jumping limbs and logs - he does it all with ease and is comfortable leading, following or being in the middle of a group. He has been camping, and handles the ins and outs of campsite living with no problems. He will even line up next to a picnic table, fence, or mounting block with a wave of your hand!
Dutton is used to the busy life and is comfortable around kids, dogs, farm animals and equipment. He will ride down the road with no issues. You can even pony off him! This versatile guy has been introduced to roping, head and heel. We have not put an English saddle on him, but with his lovely stride and willing demeanor, he should excel in that discipline as well. He can side pass and two track.
Dutton is comfortable to ride and guides willingly wherever you ask. He has a nice handle if you need a rollback or quick stop, and he does have an 'afterburner' gear if you really want to go! He has turned a barrel or two (with a 5 year old), carried the flag, is desensitized to tarps, toys, etc. Dutton has had riders of all ages and skill levels, from 5 years old to the senior set, and acted accordingly in each situation.
